I have been promoting and presenting on the CSL program a lot lately which is why I wanted to log this presentation. I can't go thorugh all of them, but will mention a few. For instance, a new employee reached out to me to learn more about the bank and one major thing I told him about was the Fresh Water Watch. He was captivated, which led to me introducing him to the Sustainability Team and then culminated (or now begins :) in him signed up to become a CSL at the next possible training.
Another instance was when one CSL came to pick up supplies and took another person with them. The other CSL and I promoted the program to her, showed her pictures, told stories about our testing experience, and so on enough to open up her latent interest in the subject. Although she can't become a CSL yet as she just just had her first child, she was intrigued and was really glad we do the testing on behalf of the bank and people like her, especially since me and the other CSL test in her neighborhood!!
A third occasion was when my brother was coming to meet me and I wasn't home yet - when he asked why, I said, "because I was testing the water at Astoria Park and am walking back now." This of course led to a great conversation around what I was doing, his interests in sustainability, and other topics. He is defintely interested in helping with the world's sustainability because he works at a recying company!!
There were many more, and will be even way more chats to come. It's fun to spread the word - communication and awareness help bring change!!!
