Yellow Fish is an urban project that investigated the use of drains leading to the river Ray in Swindon. Three industrial areas were mapped for outfalls and all of the businesses in the area were visited. Talks and leaflets were dropped off at the businesses to help them understand the network of drains leading to the river Ray. They were also informed about not putting anything but rainwater down the drain as this would cause a pollution incident.
Following the discussions and leaflet drops yellow fish have been painted on the drains that lead to the river to help inform people of which drains lead to where. Whilst this exersise helps people to understand about local pollution incidents it also tries to educate and spread awareness of keeping water safe.
