WWT is working in partnership with Slough Borough Council, Thames Water and the Environment Agency to deliver the Saving the Salt Hill Stream project. We are working with local people and community organisations in Slough to improve the Salt Hill Stream to create a clean, healthy and flourishing watercourse that the whole of Slough can be proud of. We’re doing this by improving the river habitat and creating new wetlands, as well as training volunteers in monitoring and managing the new landscapes. Monitoring the water quality of the Salt Hill Stream means we can detect pollution incidents and act quickly to stop them, and we can also see how the water quality changes over the course of the project. Your water quality monitoring data will help us in measuring the success of the project, and help us keep the Salt Hill Stream clean and healthy for wildlife and people to enjoy.
