FreshWater Watchers may have noticed a couple of new things have sprung up in the last couple of weeks.
Firstly, the second installment of our regular project update should have reached your inbox last week. If you are a member of FreshWater Watch but didn't receive it, check your junk folder! Highlights include updates on our participation in the European citizen science projects GroundTruth 2.0 and MONOCLE, a report on our first pan-European WaterBlitz, a spotlight on the Menda Data Pamo project in Zambia, and a celebration of the HSBC Water Programme which kick started FreshWater Watch into being eight years ago. If you haven't received the project update and would like to, please drop us an email.
Secondly, group managers will notice a new link on their dashboard page. This link points to the FreshWater Watch methods manual. The methods manual is an in-depth description of the FreshWater Watch method, designed to give you the knowledge you need to speak confidently about your data. It includes information on designing a sampling strategy, collecting your sample, and making sure your data is of high quality. We have also published a supplementary health and safety guide, which can be found in your support pack (accessed from your profile page). Both documents can also be found here.
Happy holiday reading everyone!
