FreshWater Watch Olympics

The Closing Ceremony

The UK has triumphed in the first FreshWater Watch Olympics with more than 100 water samples collected in just two weeks. Hong Kong came in second with India close behind in third.

India won the most bronze medals for sharing blogs on social media and raising awareness about what we can do to research and protect freshwater.

One of the smallest FreshWater Watch countries, Jersey, came in fifth with the most silver medals won for their brilliant, thought-provoking, blogs.

The first FreshWater Watch Olympics are officially closed, thanks to all our FreshWater watchers who took part. We are keen to keep the Olympic tradition alive so sprint over to Facebook and Twitter to share your water ambitions and successes.
