Notes: 
The river gauge around half a mile downstream showed 36cm (summer 2017 level 18 - 20cm, recent spates 80 - 100cm). Water looked fairly coloured after overnight rain, greenish rather than muddy. Secchi disk just visible with tube full, so < 12 NTU No foam on surface at sample point, but some dirty foam on woody debris downstream.
