Notes: 
Water level dropping after two days of spate, but still higher than average. Spate peaked in excess of 60cm on Damery gauge but was at 44cm when sample was taken. Water looked brownish due to suspended solids and was the most turbid I have sampled on the Little Avon, but even with the Secchi tube completely full the disc was still just about discernible. There were clots of dirty foam gathered up above snags - see attached photo - though not at my sampling point. I saw a dipper about 100m above the sampling point.
