Chalk stream running through Loudwater housing estate. Stream at this point runs through various back gardens. Directly opposite is small
Wooded area and adjacent to that an equestrian centre with fields for grazing.
Upstream there is mainly agricultural use (mainly livestock grazing - sheep and some cattle), although the headwaters are in in the town of Chesham (about 7 miles away). There is also Chesham STP which discharges treated water to the river, and also untreated overflows from the STP have been very common this year. (At one point 55 days in a row).
At the place of sampling there are plenty of fish and other wildlife (you can see the ducks in the photos)
