Citizen Observatories for Anthropogenic Litter Dynamics and FreshWater Watch within EU project POSEIDOMM

On Monday, November 28th at the GEOMAR - Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research in Kiel, Germany, I gave a seminar within the seminar series "new topics in Marine Biogeochemistry" organized by the FB2 - Forschungsbereich 2 (Research Division), Marine Biogeochemistry. In my talk, I discussed about our POSEIDOMM Research Questions and introduced our activity within FreshWater Watch showing the first data (from June 2016) our citizen scientists have collected in the Arno catchement, in Italy.

NBC Interview!

Final CSL Training in KL

April 1, 2016. The last CSL Training Day in KL. I shared about the freshwater challenge and FWW techniques to the last team of CSLs in KL.

Teaching interns about freshwater issues and FWW methods

August 4th, 2016. Three interns joined the HK Earthwatch Office for the summer. Went out to collect data at Kai Tak Nullah, and also discussed with them about freshwater issues and water quality monitoring techniques.

Singapore FWW Results Sharing

June 4th, 2016. Sharing some global and Singapore-specific results of FWW, to show the Singapore CSLs the fruitition of their hard work. Singapore CSLs have been among the most active CSLs in the world. Many of them have continued to consistently collect data even after the expiration of their commitment term.
